Bay Vue United Methodist Church is delighted with their new pastor. Rev. Tom Stephenson was appointed by the Texas Methodist Conference and is a happy addition to St. Matthew’s Methodist in High Island, Bay Vue in Crystal Beach and Bolivar Methodist Church in Bolivar. Members of Bay Vue invited Pastor Tom to Stingaree on Wednesday, November 12 to celebrate his 55th birthday (he looks much younger). Twenty parishioners enjoyed various luncheon specials. Then pastor was treated to Rita Moseley’s luscious chocolate cake and creme brulee (the latter is his favorite dessert). He also had to endure several renditions of “Happy Birthday to You.” However, Tom was a good sport.

Everyone agreed that it was a fine, fun birthday for a gentleman that we like very much. The community is invited to hear an uplifting sermon by Pastor Tom Stephenson each Sunday at one of the three Methodist Churches in our area. You will enjoy the experience.
Now, one more time. “Happy birthday to you, Pastor Tom, and many, many more!”
