PawPaw fix it!

Our children…do we ever let them grow up, are we always grateful when they may need us for some reason? Right now, the two oldest with their families are safe and sound in Texas, no further than a couple of hours away at the most. The youngest, on the other hand, pregnant with #3, a two and a four year old to keep her busy until bedtime every night, is dealing with the deployment of her husband. Our son-in-law is protecting and defending our country, doing what he was trained to do, we exist in freedom because of these brave individuals. We appreciate and respect and pray for every soldier out there fighting for liberty and justice.

All this being said, we make at least 2 trips each year to North Carolina, this year, it will be 3! The youngest grandkids are old enough to remember us now, from visit to visit. They’ll be asleep when we arrive, so the box of goodies has already been sent. You know, the stuff they expect Grandma and PawPaw to bring on the plane when coming to visit. Mommy gets treats too, of course. The phone call this morning revealed Michael, the two year old, had broken his tool bench, probably by banging the heck out of it. In an effort to get the last word in on the conversation, he kept repeating, “PawPaw fix it!”

You bet, Little Buddy, PawPaw will fix it. And guess what Addyson & Michael, get ready for Krispy Kreme. It ain’t Dannays, but it ain’t bad!

GO’s Sand Bucket is only one beach bum’s journal of life at the beach, probably something each of you can relate to. Please feel free to email me with your thoughts, visions and/or feelings of just exactly what the beach means to you.
