PB VFD BBQ Cookoff

The Port Bolivar Volunteer Fire Department is hosting their 22nd Annual BBQ Cookoff on August 19th and 20th. Cooks will work on everything from brisket and chicken to ribs and beans. Quite a competition! Bean judging will be held at 2 pm, chicken at 3 pm, ribs at 4 pm, and brisket at 5 pm. All grillers and chefs are welcome, “…bring your old smokey or $20,000 smoker.” It is a fun, easy-going event with delicious food, an auction, and raffles – all for a great cause. For the non-competitors, BBQ Dinners will be ready for sale on Saturday from 11am-5:30pm.
