Prindle 50th Anniversary North Americans

By Jim Denys
The Westwood Wealth Management Prindle 50th Year North Americans were held June 3-5 for the first time in 20 years. Sailors from all over the US including the Netherlands participated in the 3 day Regatta on Bolivar Peninsula. What made this event so special is that only Prindle manufactured Catamarans were allowed to compete to determine the best Prindle sailors in the country.

Saturday David Cerdas, fresh off his exciting Team SONNENKLAR finish in the Worrell 1000 brought his boat to help Lee Wickland a GT 300 veteran, who also brought his zodiac inflatable to set a inflatable bouy for the RIG RUN course and then the super exciting stadium style “Pizza, Hot Dog, Pizza, Hot Dog course Sunday.

Thank you to our Safety Teams, David Gaston for bringing his boat over with David McDaniel, Scott Langford, and Bobby to provide on course patrol along with Randy Meuller in his jet ski for Fridays RIG Wreck RIG course.

Special thanks to the Texas City Dike Yacht Club and our Bolivar Yacht Club crews for pitching in to support the event.
