Procrastinating

I realize more and more what a big procrastinator I really am. I think it was two years ago that I took on a major project here at the house. I decided I would paint all the interior walls a soft grey. It’s called The Big Chill. I loved it then and I still love it. We have some very tall peaks in the house that I couldn’t reach, so they didn’t get painted. A few months ago, I hired someone to come finish the tall peaks. Beautiful. I realized there were some rooms/closets I never got around to painting. I guess about a month ago on one of our most dreary weekends, I decided to go ahead and finish. I headed on up to the loft, trip after trip, with my supplies – the roller, paint can, paint brush, screw driver to take all the switch plates off, that little pad that gives you the fine lines. I spent all of 4 hours on the loft – big deal! I got all the furniture moved to the center of the room, all the switch plates removed, and I painted one side of the room. That’s it – only one side of the room. What’s it going to take to get me back up there?

I might as well get lost in a jigsaw puzzle for all the procrastinating I’m doing. Wait, I know what I’m waiting for – a cold front. Let me go check the weather website to see how much longer I’ve got.
