PSP is Warming Up

fishfry-0Peninsula Sports Park is already on deck, warming up for the next at bat…raising funds to make our little league better. As the last season wrapped up, the wheels were already turning to further improve baseball on Bolivar. The little league baseball field in Port Bolivar held a full schedule of day games this past season. And now they want to be able to provide night games for all levels of play. PSP is their name, and fundraising is their game (in the off season). PSP set a goal to raise $40,000 to light the field for nighttime play. Last Wednesday they hosted a fish fry fundraiser at Jose’s Restaurant. Jose donated the restaurant and all the food for the fundraiser. A big thanks to Jose Cruz for his generosity.

PSP still needs a lot of help to reach their goal. The next fundraiser will be the flounder tournament on October 21st. This event was a huge success last year and they look forward to a great turnout. Also, PSP is selling raffle tickets for a Beretta 12-ga shotgun to be given away at the tournament. To purchase a ticket, email [email protected], or Leslie Lowe at [email protected]. Your support is greatly appreciated. Let’s play {fundraiser} ball!
