Re-enlisting his own way

weber00What a better way to commit to serving your country than with a splash! Corey Weber is a Boatswain’s Mate Second Class in the US Coast Guard. He is currently stationed in Port Arthur and has been serving his country in the USCG for nine years now. Corey, wife Andrea, and their children live in Crystal Beach. But on September 15th, Corey is reporting to his new assignment in Corona Del Mar, California. With his current enlistment expiring in about a year, he had to re-enlist in order to accept the three year assignment in California. The military allows the re-enlistment ceremony to be very informal, so Corey chose to have his swear-in at the Fun Town Waterslide in Crystal Beach. Standing at the top of the slide, close friend LTJG Mark Velez read the oath, witnessed by USCG IS Oscar Lozano, along with family and friends. As soon as the oath was complete, Corey, Mark, and Oscar grabbed a tube and jumped in the chute to seal the deal. Congratulations to Corey and the Weber Family. Semper Paratus!
