Richard Moyer, 59, of Gilchrist, TX, formerly from New Tripoli, PA, died on Good Friday, April 18, 2014 at 2:22 pm, after a 15 month battle with cancer. Rick was born to the late Richard and Arlene Moyer on June 10, 1954 in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. He was a 1972 graduate of Dieruff High School. He was the proud “Dad and Pop-Pop” to daughter, Chiara Clauss and granddaughter, Adriana Clauss of Slatington, PA.
Rick, affectionately called Sweetie, was the loving companion of Nancy J Bachman of Gilchrist, TX, formerly from Slatington, PA for the past 9 years. Rick was a drywall and interior contractor for much of his life until relocating to Texas. He worked hard and played hard, having many hobbies including hunting, shooting darts, playing pool and fishing. He loved life and enjoyed the Bolivar Peninsula on the Texas Gulf Coast, fishing and boating and helping run Miss Nancy’s Bait Camp for the last five years. He had many friends in both Texas and Pennsylvania. As you remember this great man, please smile, raise your glass, or wet a hook in remembrance of Sweetie! Cheers!
