seaweed_0Remember the seaweed invasion that overwhelmed our beaches last year? It was the worst we had seen in many years, causing tourists to flee and posing a cleanup nightmare for the county.     I still wish folks would realize what a great soil amendment seaweed is – even ours. True, the seaweed products that we pay FORTUNES for in nurseries is harvested in colder areas.

    But ours is very rich too. The aroma, I admit, takes a bit of patience, but it will disappear. Washing it off and letting it dry in the sun will take care of that.

    Oh, well. What is it they say about an “expert” being someone over 25 miles from home with a PowerPoint program? Maybe in some ways, it’s the same with seaweed.
