Something For Everyone

BPCF Fall Arts & Crafts Fair
By Linda Elissalde
September 17, 2022 promised sunshine and pleasant breezes for Bolivar Peninsula Cultural Foundation (BPCF) to present their FALL ARTS & CRAFTS FAIR. Thirty vendors showcased Jewelry, Artwork, Tumblers, Home Decor, Pottery Demonstrations, Fall and Christmas Items, Sweet Pecans and many more offerings at Crystal Beach Festival Park Pavilion. Attendees were welcomed with a door prize ticket, and those over 21, with two tickets for free wine or beer. Five enticing raffle items were available. Individuals paid $5.00 for one chance or $20.00 for five chances. FOE Eagles #3719 sold delicious hot dogs, chili dogs, chips, etc. to a hungry crowd.

There was definitely something for Everyone at this festive, happy venue. People felt safe with handsome, smiling Officer Pena keeping watch. Folk delighted in talking with sellers, greeting friends and making new friends. Groups gathered at tables to visit, eat and drink. Children played together. Bought items were carried to cars, and buyers returned for more.

Chairperson Elinor Tinsley and Officer Pena

BPCF’s Arts and Crafts Fair is a true “fun raiser”. Profits go to help organizations and promote interest in the unique history of Bolivar Peninsula. Foundation Treasurer Elinor Tinsley superbly chaired the 2022 Fall Fair. Officers and members helped in set up, working at the fair, and take down. Tom Osten and Dennis Rollfing prepared the area. Both men are active in many peninsula projects including Mother’s Day Weekend Crab Fest.

“I am thankful for BPCF officers, members, vendors, individuals, contributors of raffle items, door prizes, and all those who worked so hard to create a successful 2022 Fall Arts & Crafts Fair. Your generosity and kindness are most appreciated. We could not have done it without you.”
With sincere gratitude, Elinor Tinsley

Do not despair if you missed the Fall Arts & Crafts Fair. You will get another chance in 2023. BPCF plans for a SPRING ARTS & CRAFTS FAIR that will again include SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE!
