Spring Break?

By Georgia Osten
No, not for me, not my favorite…But, I must admit, so far, it’s been very calm, except for my street (as always). Losing an hour has already hit me. This morning, I peeked at the clock at 6:30 and gave myself only an extra half hour. One hour later, after dreaming one of those “I’m lost” dreams, I woke up and jumped out of bed. I remembered this was my morning to take Maezy to the beach and feed her breakfast, which she still hasn’t eaten at almost 4:00 in the afternoon.

Spring, to me, means TIME TO CLEAN THIS HOUSE. I mean a good cleaning, like floors and blinds and the outside windows. If anyone has an easy way to clean blinds, I’m open for suggestions. I don’t mind the outside windows, which I think I’ll do when I’m through writing this Sand Bucket. The sun is shining and I’m dying to get outdoors!

The gardens are a disaster too. My husband brought home some mulch this morning from Home Depot, that ought to hide some of the weeds.

Once again, Sweat Fitness will have to take a back burner to my exercise routine.

GO’s Sand Bucket is only one beach bum’s journal of life at the beach, probably something each of you can relate to. Please feel free to email me with your thoughts, visions and/or feelings of just exactly what the beach means to you. Email: [email protected]
