Spring Break…What’cha Gonna Do!

Hard to think about Spring Break when it’s raining and cold out but that’s soon to change looking forward. Once we get to Tuesday afternoon and into Wednesday morning, we’ll be on the HEAT-UP and we are in the clear after that. So you’re heading to the beach for a few days to a week for Spring Break? Well, I’m here to tell you we have plenty

to do over the next couple weeks. I’ve made a few call and a few stops seeing what area shops and restaurants have in store:

Stingaree Restaurant always has great seafood platters and steaks, along with a Special on weekends. Brunch from 8-11 am this Sunday March 15th…it’s always great.

harris1DownUnder Restaurant is open again and have put together some NEW items on the menu. I sampled a few of the Deli Style Sandwiches and they are awesome. As for the Live Music…
March 14th “Larry Joe Taylor”
March 15th “Melagrass”
March 20th “Lee Pelly” and “Jason Eady”
March 21&22nd 3-Way Switch

The Big Store for breakfast, lunch or dinner, or “made fresh” pizza all day long. The hardware department is stocked along with fishing, clothing and coastal toys and coolers. They have just about anything you could need while visiting Bolivar Peninsula.

Ocean Grille took the winter off to remodel and expand. Opening back up for Spring Break, they have made some major changes to the seating, offering more room, beer and wine with an expanded menu that looks great with plenty to choose from. Big screen TV’s on the walls to watch your favorite team play or see the weather and news.

Beach Buns made a move this year and is now located at the corner of Crystal Beach Road and Hyy 87 next to Swede’s Quick Stop. Same Great Burgers and Friendly Smiles. New hours are Wednesday through Sunday 11am – 6pm …or later, they’ll let me know.

Latitude 29.2 Surf Shop has been stocking the shelves daily with Spring and Summer fashions from beach wear to dinner attire. You can also find all you need for the beach from chairs to boogie boards, need a beach or yard game, they have it all. Don’t worry grown-ups, they have a great selection of home decor and souvenirs.

Tiki Beach Bar & Grill has the meals and the music playing for a relaxing time visiting with family and friends. The staff is ready for this Spring Break and the many that visit during March.

Ships Wheel is always hopping once the sun sets, dancing and drinks as always. Music as always, a Live DJ is set for the weekends for all to enjoy. They are an over 21 club.

Bambo Beach Bar – Ice Cold Drinks and Pool Tables, always music playing and a great view off the deck. Relax with family and friends and forget about work or school, they are an over 21 club.

Swedes Real Estate says they still have rentals available for weekends and spring break. With most still on winter rates, you can really save some money and get away. Even if you can’t stay for the whole week, give Swedes a call for the weekend.

With the Great Weather coming midweek, a grocery store, liquor store and area restaurants, awesome fresh seafood, tacos, hand made pizzas, super burgers all on Bolivar Peninsula, there really isn’t a reason to leave once you get here. Come on down to Bolivar Peninsula, Texas and enjoy your get-away for the spring and summer.

I live on Bolivar and Love it.
Come see us for the Spring Get-Away.
