How lucky we are to have a whole day, or even a week, to show our thanks and gratitude for the loved ones in our lives and the many blessings we’ve been granted. Though we should devote more than a day to thanksgiving, it’s still a day we all look forward to each year. After all, it’s a day we are “allowed” to eat all we want, at all hours of the day, even desserts upon desserts. It’s all fair game! We lounge around, watching parades on TV, maybe decorating for Christmas, and preparing our waistlines to expand a few inches. Hopefully we remember to reach out to far-away loved ones and friends, and hug those close-by a little tighter. And say a little prayer for those who aren’t able to be at the dinner table with family for the holidays.
