This past Thursday, for the 4th year in a row, Crystal Beach Community Church and the Fraternal Order of Eagles teamed up to provide over 175 people with a Thanksgiving meal. There was turkey, ham, two types of dressing, macaroni and cheese, mashed potatoes, gravy, navy beans, pea salad as well as a variety of vegetables and desserts. The Community Church provided most of the food, the Eagles ladies Auxiliary cooked most of it, and both groups joined together to serve, eat and clean at the Eagles building. It was a fun and festive day and very little of the food was left over.
There was no charge for anyone to eat and everyone was invited. Both organization worked closely together to plan this event, and have every intention of keeping this tradition alive in the future.
