Perfect Weather and Fun Competitions Highlight Bolivar Peninsula Chamber of Commerce Golf Tournament
On Friday, the Bolivar Peninsula Chamber of Commerce Golf Tournament took place under perfect “Chamber of Commerce” weather, with sunny skies and a gentle breeze. A total of 38 golfers registered for the event, kicking off their day with complimentary breakfast tacos, Bloody Marys, and a swag bag full of goodies. Participants enjoyed a fun-filled morning with a putting contest and the crowd-favorite “chip it in the potty” competition before the shotgun start at 9 a.m.
Excitement was high with a $25K hole-in-one challenge at hole #3, and additional competitions for the longest drive and closest to the pin kept everyone engaged. To add to the festivities, a beverage cart and an overhead drone delivering tequila shots ensured no golfer was thirsty. BBQ and all the fixings at the turn kept golfers fueled for the rest of the day.
The tournament concluded with a 12-under-par scorecard winning the top spot, while a playoff decided second place. Attendees praised the event, with many calling it the “best tournament I’ve ever played in.” None of this would have been possible without the support of generous sponsors, enthusiastic players, and the dedicated volunteers who made the day a huge success.
