Edith B. Smith, the queen of each heart,
Turned 95 this year.
Friends and family joined to celebrate,
They traveled from far and near.
Children, grandchildren, relatives and friends came from far and near to gather at Down Under on October 12, 2019 to celebrate the 95th birthday of Edith Marie Bevel Smith. Folk refer to Edith as Queen of Hearts because she is a mixture of charm, talent, beauty, faith and love. She beguiles all who have the pleasure of her company. Few can keep up with the pace set by this enchanting lady.

Bay Vue United Methodist Church always honors those who have had a birthday during the week. Mary Raney and Moody Fredenburg joined Edith on Sunday to be serenaded with “Happy Birthday.” Pianist Paulette Layfield broke into “Pomp and Circumstance” as Moody and Danny Smith escorted her up the aisle. Elaine Rollfing baked and decorated one of her gorgeous, famous cakes for Edith at the Fellowship gathering after church.

“Oh,” declared Mrs. Edith. “Do I get to be queen for more than one day?” The reply from all was that Edith B. Smith is the QUEEN OF HEARTS every day!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
LONG LIVE QUEEN EDITH!
