‘Tis the Season

Georgia's Sand BucketBy Georgia Osten
Well, at this house anyway. You see, last year, all our gifts were late. It really didn’t matter, they weren’t home for Christmas anyway. I think they were on a cruise up the Nile River. This year, I guess I’m a little bit early on everything. Thanksgiving will be at our house, so I went shopping on Saturday for some essentials. I got the ham from Sam’s, but they didn’t have turkeys yet, and my trip to HEB didn’t prove successful for any gobblers. I’ll probably try again next weekend.

Next weekend is going to be full of progesterone. It’s that weekend that comes around every year. It’s all about hunting, it’s guys of all ages, two fellas from Dallas, our Son and our Grandson, and my husband of course. Oh, and a Lab hunting dog, Cody, that won’t be able to leave my sweet girl alone.

Anyway, right now, I need to go upstairs and prepare the big bed for Matthew, and Pierce will probably want to sleep in the top bunk. Gotta spread these guys out so the non-snorers can get some sleep!

Pierce, yep, that means red Jello, I’ll get right on that as well.

I hope my next Sand Bucket is all about duck gumbo!
