Where History, Art & Music Come Together!

J00And Together it Came – At the west end tip of the Peninsula on Saturday, October 11th, at Fort Travis Park. The couple of downpours did not dampen the spirits of the Festival goers. Pirates and Petticoats, a play written by Linda Elissalde, was performed by our very own Peninsula talent. Texas musician Brian Burns, and local favorite 3 Way Switch, entertained the crowds. Vendors sold everything from beads to beeswax, while tap dancers and zumba dancers rocked the stage. Food booths served up delicious eats, and bargain hunters had plenty to bid on in the Silent Auction. Thanks to the wonderful people with the Bolivar Peninsula Cultural Foundation and all the volunteers that made the 5th Annual Jane Long Festival a success.

Sorry we could not make the event this year! Trying to get packed up for our move north up near Greenville! WE will miss all the “events” here on the Peninsula! Energetic leaders and helpers make it work…

    Sincerly, Barbara and Ed Prenger….

This has to be the most beautiful spot in Texas for a festival. Rain or no, it was great fun and a hearty thanks to everyone who came out.
