I guess it is the month of December. I may need to commit myself to a home. First I need to do a little research on which old folks home has the best food. Some things are important. What has brought this to my attention is this week I have not been able to know which day is which. And to add to my confusion our Mommy/Daddy Wednesday phone call from our first born came on Tuesday! I even had RR convinced Tuesday was Wednesday and so on.
I had my work clothes already set out yesterday for my Friday work day, of course, I was a day off. Can you imagine how pissed I would have been getting on the 5:30 ferry on the wrong day. Yea for Dianne, as she called on Wednesday anyway, good ole Mom said “Hi Sweetpea, why are you calling on Thursday? Is something wrong?” There was silence on the other end and finally she said, Mom it is Wednesday. Of course, Mom corrected her and said no Honey it is Thursday remember we talked on Wednesday. Another silence, Mom, no, go get Dad’s phone and punch the buttons and tell me what day it says.
I gained a whole 24 hours this week, I am tellin’ you, I may need help! It could have something to do with the cabin fever RR and I are having. We have been passing this cold back and forth for weeks and add sinus problems to that with hot one day and very cold the next.
I finally said to RR one day “lets go to the Big Store and do a walk about.” Of course, he looked at me and laughed, but we went anyway. It was a Tuesday and I only know this as gas was 10 cents cheaper. We checked out every isle and purchased several things we did not need, but we were out of the small area that we live in.
This weather is like someone picked us up and placed us in Seattle overnight. Gray skies, mist and cold. How do ya’ll feel about picking up the peninsula and heading south? Hum? Well that may be a good idea after all, at least our grandkids would not have to worry about the Ike Dike.
