Fishing Report For Sept 30 through Oct 6, 2013

By Ed Snyder/Outdoors
This past weeks action gave credence to September’s Redfish and Golden Croaker run. Redfish were amazing with many Bulls to 40-plus inches caught. The Golden Croaker didn’t disappoint either with plenty of Bull Croaker from 12 to 15 inches hitting the boxes, with a few making the 18 inch mark. As cold fronts make their runs south, the long awaited flounder run should have the flatfish migration in full swing soon. With the waters cooling, the specks will start their feeding sprees in the bay. This means that anglers who fish the birds will enjoy some of the hottest action of the year. Fall is coming and along with it the fishing action will begin to heat up as the waters cool down. It’s time to go fishing folks.
