Paint a Potty Community Project
Bolivar Peninsula Cultural Foundation and Keep Bolivar Beautiful are teaming up on a community wide project to beautify the port-a-potties on our beaches. Each potty is housed in a three sided building and the goal is to paint the potty building to make them attractive works of art. There are 13 buildings, so 13 artists or teams are needed to complete the project.
The process is simple:
Contact Charlotte Stirling, 409-673-0536, to sign up. A list of the locations available will be provided for you to select one. Present your design for approval. (Pelicans flying, Pelicans perched on pilings, Mermaids, Turtles, Dune scenes … get the idea?). When design is approved, begin painting!!
The goal is have all 13 buildings finished by spring break in March so tourists can enjoy the talent of our wonderful art community.
