Aaron Comeaux’s five over par 32 bested aging head golf pro Mike Mitchell by one shot Thursday at the Ranch. Comeaux opened with four pars and converted a nice up and down on the final hole to also stun Michael Comeaux by two, Shannon O’Brien by three, Mike VanZandt by four, and rusty Dennis Whitmer by a whopping six strokes. Comeaux’s first win in the twice weekly Par 3 tourney is viewed as a temporary aberration and not indicative of any sort of trend. Whitmer and VanZandt, who tied for first on Tuesday, never got untracked on the constantly changing Par 3 course, re-designed weekly by Golf Course Architect Mike Mitchell.

Unlike most 1st place holders, this aberration will not be temporary and is most defiantly a trend. Had Mike (the mouth) Mitchell, not been in my ear the entire time, the long over-due ass whoopin’ may have resulted in a new course record.
