BP Lions Support Youth Baseball

baseball_0The Bolivar Peninsula Lions Club recently made a donation of $500.00 to support the youth baseball team being formed for the Bolivar Peninsula. The team will be playing in the Winnie Little League program and the donation will assist in the acquisition of team gear and materials. Presently, games will be played in Winnie with the first game scheduled for March 18. Plans are in the works for rebuilding a baseball field in Port Bolivar which will serve as the team’s home field. Coach/manager Delino Comeaux accepted the check from Lions Club president Rob Byus, along with several of the team’s players and expressed sincere appreciation for the donation.
