Texas Crab Festival

After an exhausting Crab Festival weekend, and a long day tearing down the festival grounds, we are delaying this week’s edition of the Crystal Beach Local News until Wednesday. Here are a few festival pictures to enjoy.

This was my first time to be a vendor at Crab Fest and I am so looking forward to next year… I am the artist at the first tent before the Big Tent entrance… Thank you for the well organized event and hats off to the many volunteers who make it such a success. After the first night of gusty wind & a tad of rain, we re-grouped Saturday and had a great day of sales….Met some extra friendly beach locals and so many from as far away as Austin, the hill country, Alexandria,Louisiana and San Antonio.. One of my paintings “Big Octopus” now calls Crystal Beach home… and a few of my commissioned pet paintings are going to Katy, Tx, Magnolia,Tx and Nacogdoches, Tx…Quite a few prints were sold as well….Thank you all….I am ready for next year!!!Jody Domingue, Artist

Hats off to all the CrabFest volunteers.
Traditionally I get to buy my (own) Mother’s Day gift there. Every year the choices get better and better, especially the photography & art work which is usually where I find something that “speaks to me.” Thanks! Brenda
