Festival Park gets a new name

The Texas Crab Festival Charities is excited to announce the naming rights sponsorship agreement with Swedes Real Estate for Festival Park located in the heart of Crystal Beach. Under this 10 year agreement, the Festival Grounds will be known as “Swedes Park.” Temporary Signage will be put in place for the Texas crab Festival and a permanent signage will be ordered.

“We are excited to announce this partnership with Swedes Real estate,” states Mark DeSantis VP of Texas Crab Festival Charities. “ Swedes Real Estate owners Jim Walters and Lance Bradley have been long time supporters of the Texas Crab Festival Charities and its mission to increase educational and career opportunities for Bolivar Peninsula residents of all ages, and to support local organizations that further the goal of improving the lives of the residents of Bolivar Peninsula.”

Swedes Park is an outdoor facility located in Crystal Beach, Texas, on Bolivar Peninsula. The eight-acre fenced area boasts a large performance stage, a dedicated dance floor, elevated viewing stands, a beer garden, and ample parking, among other amenities. With water and electricity on site, Swedes Park is the perfect venue for concerts, festivals, and other large events.

The Pavilion at Swedes Park is a separate facility that offers a spacious and well-equipped venue for large parties and celebrations. The Pavilion is a 7500 sq ft paved and lighted arena, it comes with a stage that can accommodate live performances and events. The Pavilion is perfect for hosting weddings, corporate parties, family reunions, and more. In addition, it is equipped with water and electricity on-site, making it easy to set up and manage events.

Texas Crab Festival Charities last year raised funds to support the following

  • Awarding 9 new college scholarships for students on the Bolivar Peninsula, totaling $48,000.
  • Providing $3000 for summer camps for children.
  • Allocating $9,500 for our “Learn More Earn More” program, supporting professions such as nursing, welding, dental assisting, etc.
  • Distributing approximately 50 fans to those in need during the summer months.
  • Conducting our annual Christmas giving, which involved providing $200 gift cards to 47 families for holiday meals.
  • Purchasing 18 bikes for families as Christmas presents.
  • Sponsoring a $2,500 holiday meal for those in need through the Eagles.
