The Fraternal of Eagles Lodge 3719 held a Flag Retirement Ceremony on Saturday, June 12th. Bolivar residents were asked to drop the worn and tattered American Flags for the proper disposal. Carl Aucoin, Retired USMC performed the dignified ceremony of burning the flag out in front of the lodge with the assistance of Richard Thompson. There were over 40 flags collected. Bolivar residents and visitors are encouraged to continue dropping off tattered flags for the proper retirement.
We are grateful to Carl and Richard for their service as well as preforming this much needed retirement ceremony.
