Honor Our Heroes Sunday, 9/11/22, at Community Bible Baptist Church, in Pinellas Park, FL, was an over the top blessing. One of the highlights for me personally was seeing Maya Grace, my granddaughter, honor Dr. AK, her heart transplant surgeon at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital in St. Petersburg, FL, during two transplants, and his remarkable team, with one of our hero awards.
These folks are wonderful contributors to society as a whole and to our family personally. The Bible teaches us to honor those to whom honor is due and we were happy to do that yesterday at our church. It is a wonderful thing to be able to give thanks to those who make a real difference in lives every day.
So many of you prayed for Maya during those long seven months of hospitalization, and the ups and downs our family experienced, we thought you’d enjoy seeing her today. Thank you again to my friends and faithful readers who joined our family in prayer when we needed you most. She is continuing to do well.
Take a few moments of time to thank the heroes of your life today with a call, note, text, email, or visit. You may not realize how much a kind word, small gift, or acknowledgement means to someone else.
