Hog Wild

Looks like we’ve gone to the Hogs. Early last week, rumors began to spread about the Feral Hogs on the Peninsula. No one had seen them yet, but several yards from Sandy Shores to Pat’s Tires had been torn to shreds during the night. Thursday morning we received a call from Mary Ann Rogers, telling us to come by and get some pictures. Pat and Mary Ann set out bait the night before. I asked Mary Ann if it was Purina Pig Food, no, it’s C More Hog, Sweet and Nasty! Well, I never! They shot 4 of them at about 10:30 Wednesday night, one hobbled away into the weeds, the other three are pictured here with Pat.

I would like to hunt some hogs, or atleast get some of the meat.

  4. Does anyone know how they came? Down from High Island? I’d like to talk to someone who knows something about coyotes on Bolivar. Any recommendations?

Oh my gosh, these animals will reek havoc on land anywhere they roam. Thank you Rogers for helping to thin the population. Carlis Cole
