Robert and Bob Brown, playing out of Houston’s Lakeside Country Club and Strake Jesuit High School, captured the Sunday scramble at the Ranch December 9th along with lumber baron Dabney Harrison. Russ Berge, Rob Stevens, Head Golf Pro Mike Mitchell and Mike VanZandt finished two shots back at 2 under par. Mitchell, whose golf game has been undergoing major reconstructive surgery, blasted a lob wedge two feet from the pin on hole number 2 and hit a great drive on the difficult par 5 ninth hole to set up an easy birdie. Mike Comeaux, High Island all-around athlete Jentry Weisinger, Gary Horn and a mellow Will Armstrong finished in third place at one under par.
