If you read any of my stories, you might have come to realize that I’m a dog lover. Well, maybe not all dogs, but my own for sure. She’s my golden retriever who is actually red and practically as gray as I am now. Ruby, that’s her name! We’ve been through a lot together and I hope we have a few more years to go. Lord knows I’ve taken good care of her, my credit card bills are proof!
Just recently, I purchased a new microfiber bed for her from Bed, Bath & Beyond. It’s so soft and plush (and pricey). I carry it from the living room to the bedroom every night for her to lay on and she totally ignores it. So today, I went to the dollar store to see if I could find something else. I came home with a 2×3 throw rug, placed her expensive BB&B micro-bed on top and she dearly loves it…hasn’t moved for 2 hours now.
I started this story to tell you about Ruby’s new cousin who just joined the family. Her name is Bitsy and when you see the picture above (click on image for larger view), you’ll see “the name fits.” Ruby met Bitsy yesterday and I think it was love at first sight. Yep, Ruby swept Bitsy right off her feet, with one wag of her tail. SWOOSH!!

Great story, Bitsy fell in love with Ruby too, especially her ears she kept trying to jump up to and bite!
Love it!!!! Good ol’ Ruby – particular on her bed, but that’s okay!! She’s been through more than most humans go through in a lifetime!!!
