Ready for friends and a sunset?

Cindy Clay Srader
When you have a beach home the first thing you have are tons of friends and family making their reservations! Having sleeping options makes it much easier to accommodate your company and makes it easier on the homeowner. This room just lets my imagination run away on how I would be able to use it! One of the first things that you see is the wide headboard that is covered in natural colored linen. The twins beds with the small table between is perfect for either the kids or some good friends to share. When you have a couple that wants to be a little “closer” move the table between the beds and slide the beds together! Do not forget to lock the wheels on the beds. Voila’, you now have a king sized bed of sorts. There is a neat foam bridge you can purchase on-line that once the beds are together, you can put this piece between them, add King sized sheets and you have a king sized bed for the couple. How versatile can you be? You can find a twin to king sized converter here:

HOW TO” … Making a Tablescape

There are several rules when planning what you put on your table surfaces. There is one rule to always follow when you plan. Always use odd numbers of objects. The collection of coral on this end table shows the use of five. In nature equal numbers and shapes are rarely found. Even though we do not realize it, if there were only four shapes on this table it would be pretty, but not feel complete to the eye. Also note the way the shapes flow from the tall coral in the back to the shorter smaller one in the front. Anything you collect would make a beautiful presentation. Just remember this rule and you cannot go wrong! Happy decorating!
