Ribbon Cutting at Mitchell Pink Course

Local golfers participated in the Ribbon Cutting for the Mike Mitchell Pink Course at the Ranch this week. Doing the honor was our newest member, Patti Atkins. Mitchell, head golf pro at the Ranch, was visibly moved by the dedication of the 1736 yard, Par 36, nine-hole layout. He said he dreamed up the idea for the Mitchell Pink Course at the same time he expanded the Par 3 Course to eighteen holes. “I’ve always loved being around the women of the Peninsula and hope this new, friendlier course brings them out to the Ranch. The Mitchell course has four Par-4 holes playing under 200 yards from the pink tees. The short tees will allow the ladies to compete against the macho beefcake golfers seen in the photo with Patti.”

No matter how bad a golfer you believe you are, the Ranch has a set of tees for you. Starting at 1736 yards on the Mike Mitchell Pink Course and stretching to 2659 from the Blue markers, the four sets of tees on the short Par 36-9 hole layout provide ample opportunity to go low, if you can handle the wind and hazards. But that ain’t all, folks. The Ranch also boasts an eighteen-hole Par-3 course that is always fun to play at reduced rates. Bring your own beer or buy soft drinks and snacks in the newly redecorated pro-shop. If you see Mike Mitchell, congratulate him on the dedication of the new nine-hole course named in honor of his game.
