The Bells chime more Loud and Sweet

Judge Earl Hines signals the beginning of Bay Vue Methodist Church Services each Sunday. He heads out the door a few minutes before service time and pulls the chord that sends a ringing message of welcome to all. Those bells, and bell tower, have been around for quite a while. However, the bell tower has been damaged by many years of Gulf Coast storms. Bay Vue’s Trustees Pat Tinsley, Gary Huebel, Don Evans and Billy Gates fixed that problem.

The men repaired and repainted the tower and associated parts supporting the bells. They also replaced the chain and rope. Then they cleaned the bells as best they could. Would it make a difference?

Bell Ringer Earl commented the first Sunday they he rang the bells. “They sound better than ever before.” Surely folk will feel even more welcomed to friendly BVMC now that THE BELLS CHIME MORE LOUD AND SWEET!

    I love this!
    Thanks for the article.
Blessings to the men who worked to maintain the bells, and to the gentleman who faithfully rings so that all may know they are welcome!
