Things you really need to know if you have a home on the beach

DESIGN IDEAS: Color, color everywhere! Just don’t forget your kitchen. Most of us have always used colored accessories in our kitchens with either White or Stained cabinets! The joy of living at the beach is we can do what we want and our homes can still be elegant and fun. When deciding on painted cabinets, think about your favorite color or a fabric you are going to use. Take the fabric to our local Sherwin Williams and have them match the color for your cabinets. As you can see by these examples anything goes! If this is too much color for you, paint your bottom cabinets a brighter color and paint the uppers white. If even that is too much, don’t forget your island if you have one! Painting your island only is always a great way to bring in the color! Most of us are not brave enough to try or you may have a husband that is appalled at the thought! Just remember, it is only paint! Give it a try!

How To Keep Your Drinks Away From Pests
CS_2014-0715-2This is an easy and economical way to help keep our summer flies out of our drinks. There are many party supply stores that sell these colorful (notice a theme here? Lol) cupcake liners. I have even seen some great ones standing in line at Marshall’s! So easy to stick straws into the bottom of the paper liners and just put them in a bowl. They can even be used over soda cans and most kids love them! A great way to add something special to your next get together. Enjoy! Please send me pictures and some of your great ideas. I would love to show your creative side!

Live for the warmth of the sun on your face, the sand in between your toes and the taste of saltwater on your lips.
