When Laura Comes To Town

By Linda Elissalde
Laura Bryan and Catherine (Cat) Holtzclaw once graced the Bolivar Peninsula with their talents and gracious personalities. However, they both moved to other destinations. Laura arranged to come back for a short visit. When her many friends in Water Aerobics and Bay Vue Methodist Church learned of her pending return, nothing must do but plan a get together. So it was that the “girls” met up at Stingaree on December 6 for a Laura Luncheon.

Stingaree provided their usual outstanding service. Cameron served as assigned waitress. That young girl managed to take care of 16 women, who ordered all sorts of delicious food, myriad drinks and separate checks, with charm and accuracy. It is no wonder Cameron is so good because her mom, manager Sharnell Hester, has worked at Stingaree for years.

Laura’s friend Elinor Tinsley gifted attendees with her famous pralines and crafted Christmas design earrings. Laura arrived with presents for folk, and so did Amy Lail. Pastor Valerie Hudson gave the blessing. Great service; Great food; Great gifts; Great friends, and great start to a Christmas Season!

It does not get much better than this. We look forward to Laura Bryan’s return because wonderful things happen WHEN LAURA COMES TO TOWN!
