A Swinging Success

Highlights from the Chamber of Commerce Ladies Putt-Putt Extravaganza
On Saturday, the Gulf Range was abuzz with laughter, competition, and camaraderie as the Chamber of Commerce Ladies Putt-Putt Tournament took center stage. Despite the chilly weather, the rain graciously stayed away, creating the perfect backdrop for the spirited event. Six four-lady teams, randomly chosen during the Calcutta on Friday night, took to the 18 holes with enthusiasm, turning the golf course into a lively playground. Adding a touch of sophistication, players enjoyed Mimosas during play, elevating the atmosphere of friendly competition.

The tournament featured a game within a game, with Texas First Bank hosting the ‘Money In The Bank’ challenge and One 10 Realty presenting ‘No Putt No Glory.’ A silent auction, boasting several enticing prizes, added an element of excitement off the greens.

Sharon Lopez made the day memorable with a remarkable hole-in-one, showcasing exceptional skill. Before the winning teams were announced, a playoff for second place intensified the thrill. Prize money was generously awarded to the victors, marking a fitting end to the day.

Heartfelt congratulations are in order for the winning teams, and gratitude resonates towards the Chamber of Commerce, dedicated volunteers, enthusiastic players, Title Sponsor Seacoast Surveyors, and supportive sponsors Norma Smalley, EZ Lift, Seaside Lumber and the Eagles. Their collective effort ensured the success of this delightful tournament, reinforcing the community spirit that thrives in events like these.
