Almost Normal Again

This time last week, I was more than a little frantic trying to finish my Christmas shopping. I left for town on my day off, I got a very early start and didn’t get back home until after dark. I managed to get myself back into my comfort zone, I even delivered packages to a couple of the kids’ houses while I was in town. My final wrapping and mailing of gifts began to take place and the rooms where I had been stashing stuff began to clear out and look almost normal again.

Still a few more loose ends. Each morning, I’ve been tracking my orders, anticipating when they might arrive. I was pretty disappointed on Friday when there weren’t any visits from Arron. Today, finally, Arron finished delivering all the other stuff I had been stressing about. A little more wrapping then off to the post office I went to mail the last box.

So, right now, as I sit here writing almost my last Sand Bucket before Christmas, I’m enjoying a glass of wine and wondering if I should go ahead and set up the puzzle table. No, wait, a puzzle will be too much of a distraction with the finale of The Voice. Maybe I’ll wait until tomorrow night – a puzzle and the Hallmark station.

GO’s Sand Bucket is only one beach bum’s journal of life at the beach, probably something each of you can relate to. Please feel free to email me with your thoughts, visions and/or feelings of just exactly what the beach means to you.
