Bay Vue Methodist Women honor Crenshaw Teachers

By Linda Elissalde
BAY VUE METHODIST WOMEN (BVMW) met in Fellowship Hall April 10 and prepared special gifts to honor Crenshaw teachers on Teacher Appreciation Day, May 2. BVMW President Elinor Tinsley had everything prepared for members and friends who joined them. Each box had a teacher’s name with designs honoring their field of expertise. Ladies had a gala time folding gift boxes, circling around different tables for decorations and placing gifts in each. Fresh apples were added when the boxes arrived at Crenshaw School on May 2.

The next day Crenshaw educators were treated to delectable choices that covered two tables. BVMW and friends provided salads, sandwiches, deviled eggs, dips, chips, cookies and cakes of every size and hue. There were enough offerings to refrigerate for eating later in the week. Teachers, staff and Bay Vue Methodist Women enjoyed every moment of the luncheon. BVMW thanked all who help in the education of our peninsula young people. In fact the women are already thinking of how to Honor Crenshaw Teachers next year.
