BPCF Fantastic Fall Fair

By Linda Elissalde
Bolivar Peninsula Cultural Foundation (BPCF) hosted their annual Fall Arts & Crafts Fair September 16, 2023. This event continues to be a success that promotes the arts and brings profits to vendors and the foundation. Also, it is fun for all attendees of all ages. In addition to over 30 presenters, the Galveston Ukulele Band provided upbeat, first class entertainment. GUB gets better and better every year. Delicious hot dogs provided by FOE Eagles #3719 were gourmet delights.

Elinor Tinsley, BPCF treasurer and organizer of events, thanked members and volunteers for assistance in setting up and taking down needed equipment. Many helpers signed in visitors, sold raffle tickets, handed out a free drink voucher, and worked wherever they were needed. Elinor Tinsley, BPCF treasurer and organizer of eventsElinor took to the microphone and explained for what proceeds are used. BPCF leaders presented Crenshaw School with $500 for their art department and High Island Schools with $500 for the drama department. Donations for creative koozies garnered over $50 for Second Going Resale Store. Second Going provides Bolivar Community low cost clothing, funding for the Food Truck and gifts local schools with money to help educate our children. Charming Officer Pena’s presence added a feeling of security.

Guests and vendors expressed their happiness with the gathering. Bolivar Peninsula Cultural Foundation will hold a spring fair in 2024. It promises to be just as great as BPCF’s FANTASTIC FALL ARTS & CRAFTS FAIR!
