This cherished event, hosted at the Eagles, added another layer of excitement to the pre-parade festivities. Partiers embraced the Parade theme of “Peace, Love, and Beads,” adorning themselves with hats ranging from whimsical to extravagant.

Emcee Jim Denys kicked off the evening by honoring past Lighthouse Krewe Kings & Queens, setting the stage for the hat contest.

With over 60 contestants showcasing hats adorned with neon lights, cuckoo clocks, feathers, and bling, the competition was fierce. The judges carefully selected the top 50 entries, each recipient awarded a hand-painted medallion in commemoration.

Amidst great fanfare, the top 15 semifinalists were announced, leading to eager anticipation. After much deliberation, Jamie, Christina, Morris, and Julie emerged victorious, greeted with hearty congratulations.
