For The Beach Or the City

I love the Elegance of this Living area. The neutral wall color is just dark enough to make the white woodwork pop. Note the beautiful fabric on the arm chairs. The colors in this fabric bring the color palette to this room. The blue was brought over to the fringe on the couch, the pillows on the couch and the beautiful case on the coffee table. The white open backed chairs by the fireplace bring a bit of whimsy to this formal place. This home would also be a special place for someone that loves the beach and wants that feel, but does not own a beach home. Just sitting in this space makes me hear the waves.CS_2014-0729-1

What is “BEACH CHIC”? A design style comprised of a combination of clean lines and organic finishes that work together to create a relaxing and inviting atmosphere. The color scheme is inspired by the beach and the natural environment of sun, sea and sand!

A glowing Centerpiece
Most of us have a cake plate that is usually left up in our cabinet. This is an easy way to make your dinner special. CS_2014-0729-2Place a large pillar candle in the center of your cake plate. This can be the only candle or you can put smaller votive cables around the pillar candle. If you do choose to use votives use an uneven number. This will be more pleasing to the eye. Fill the rest of the space with beautiful seashells and place Finger Starfish at each setting for a beautiful beachy feel. Bon appitite!
