Never Dull

The last few weeks at work have been a little different to say the least. First, there was the great FOG days, but we, as a great team, made it through it. Now, our fun time is trying to figure out who can help, where, with our latest problem. You see, the great big ramp that gets you to the ship and off the ship decided not to work. Apparently, some very important parts decided to break and guess where these parts and people to fix the ramp come from? You got it, across the pond.

The parts were ordered immediately and were received this past Tuesday. Of course, they did not fit! The first day of this event, our boss, Jamie, kept us and the passengers in great order. By the second day, everyone was ready for new duties to assist all passengers on and off the ship. The funny part of this is that so many people travel with us often, and they know where to go, and we were not allowing it! Everyone wanted to use the elevator to go upstairs to wait for embarking, but since the ramp did not work, all passengers were going on the ship from the first floor of the ship, which is dock level.

To add to all this fun, we had fog to help two of our days. What made me realize what a great team of people we have is that no one fussed about the double duties. Everyone made a fun day out of the ups and downs and the new places we were assigned to help.

Most of us were dressed for Mardi Gras and the guests enjoyed our boa’s, beads and hats. Some had come into town for the parades and had more beads than we did and that was fun too.

Not looking forward to the cold weather for this weekend, but looking forward to new adventures on how to assist guests getting on and off the ships.

Have a great week and hope everyone enjoyed the parade and caught lots of beads.
