Are you building a beach house or do you already have one built that the door opens into the room? Either way this idea is a keeper. Many people use the sliding-in-wall (pocket) doors so they are able to get the space they need in the room. They are frequently used in bathrooms. They are out of the way but there is an alternative. In the below picture you will see a wall hung door that is on a track with rollers. The fun thing about this door is that it has a lot of style and is really great painted a color that will make it pop in the room. You can have the doors you already have in your home hung this way also by getting the correct hardware. I have never been a fan of the locking mechanisms on the pocket doors, they just never seem to work well. If you were to use this door in a bathroom, a typical gate hardware could be used on the inside. The kind that slides and locks. Just a fun alternative to making your beach house your own and wowing your guests!
I want to thank the wonderful response I received from my request for unique beach homes and décor. This is really going to be fun.
