Stop by and see a new exciting paint job. A local resident looked at our tired dark building that was showing some wear and tear after the Ike Renovation five year ago and thought we needed some cheer. Paint and labor for a bright shiny new paint job on the building was donated. The only request was that it be more cheerful than the existing dark sad navy blue and white. So with a little caulk, scraping, power washing and many gallons of paint, a bright new cheerful building is now at 1050 Bay Vue Drive.
Bolivar Peninsula Community Outreach, with the support of Gleanings of the Harvest and Galveston County Food Bank, provide meat, fresh vegetables and/or nonperishable goods to an average of 100 families per week. In addition qualifying families can shop from our nonperishable food and meats once per month at our 2nd Going food pantry. We have over 150 families that participate in this program monthly. Our cost have increased last year with delivery fees added to BPCO’s cost of food for the pantry and the weekly truck, so any donation is appreciated.

Bay Vue Drive is between to Parker Lumber and Bay Vue grocery. New clothing, household items and merchandise are now in stock. Please stop in and pick out some great bargains.
Throughout the year BPCO’s projects are supported through grants and private donations along with you helping by making donations to The 2nd Going Store. We appreciate any household items, clean clothing, tools or furniture you may have that you we can repurpose from your donations. Please help us help others by donating to our cause. I love The 2nd Going store. I always find treasures and sometimes some great clothes. I’ve never been there that the staff wasn’t absolutely wonderful and ever so helpful. Janet, once again you have gone above and beyond! The store looks great. Now it really shines. Thank you and thank everyone involved with helping those that need help right here on our beautiful peninsula.
Do you have pickup? I have a lot of things for you. I’ve had 6 back surgeries. I live down Crystal Beach Rd.
