Addyson

Is the love of Flora hereditary?

We recently had our lovely family visiting us from North Carolina and my 4 year old granddaughter, Addyson, loves flowers (so does her little brother). They love to pick the periwinkle flowers growing on Grandma’s deck. They had managed to pick them all before they left to visit other relatives in Texas. They were gone almost two weeks before returning, and guess what? More periwinkles had blossomed by the time they returned.

We were very enlightened to learn we have “Daffodillos” growing all over Crystal Beach. On our trips to the beach on the golf cart, Addyson would point out all the Daffodillos and we would stop on occassion to pick a few, oh they’re just beautiful!

It’s wonderful to know that Addyson is also aware of “Dirty Pants” and will let you know just where they are and exclaims, “They need to cut all those dirty pants!” Yep, that’s what Grandma & PawPaw taught her on this trip …

I hope you don’t have Dirty Pants.

GO’s Sand Bucket is only one beach bum’s journal of life at the beach, probably something each of you can relate to. Please feel free to email me with your thoughts, visions and/or feelings of just exactly what the beach means to you.
