Eddie Barr, Precinct 1 County Commissioner from 1987-2004, was honored Tuesday, April 5 in a ceremony renaming the Galveston County Bolivar Peninsula Annex Building to the Eddie Barr Annex Building. Bolivar Peninsula Chamber of Commerce Vice President Anne Willis praised Mr. Barr for his long service and help to the people of Bolivar. Current Commissioners Patrick Doyle and Stephen Holmes were present, and both spoke of his many accomplishments.
