Ferroling

ferroling00Crystal Beach Community Church helped bring the holiday spirit to travelers through “Ferroling” on Saturday. A group of 25 carolers rode the Bolivar ferry to Galveston and back, singing Christmas carols to the riders of the ferry boat. This is their second year bringing extra cheer to passengers. They gathered around the front of the ferry, and many riders got out of their cars to come closer and enjoy the music. The travelers often applauded and took photos of this one-of-a-kind experience. A couple of the ferry deckhands even joined in. And, at the end of the ride, as the cars were deboarding, the carolers sang one last song to the exiting travelers. Most of the cars honked and waved, showing their appreciation and return of holiday greetings. Thanks to the Crystal Beach Community Church for this heartfelt tradition. Happy Holidays to all the travelers, locals and visitors.
