Here comes Summer!

What does summer and the beach bring to mind? Sun, sand, friends, cooking out and the only thing that will really destroy our fun is Mosquitoes! If you have a covered deck, one of the smartest investments will be to screen in the porch. There are many ways to do this after the fact but this picture shows how it can also add to your living space. The joy of being able to keep your doors and windows open for some fresh air is a real plus. A lot of beach houses face toward the beach. If you are lucky enough to have a great breeze on your property then no mosquitoes and the porch are the best there is! I love the beautiful painted ceiling and how it adds to the overall look of an actual living room and the double screen doors make a beautiful entrance. This soothing blue makes it feel as beachy as a home can get! Having a porch like this would be the ultimate plan for your home. My home is not built so I can do this! I am so jealous of you that can! Oh well, there is always extra strength OFF! LOL

HOW TO: Make a Outdoor Centerpiece that WOW’s

We have all seen these types of wooden lanterns in the home sections of many stores. I love the way these are filled with shells and starfish instead of candles. You may even use one for your guests to deposit any sea glass they find during their beach walks. I am looking for some right now! It is important once again when you are making an arrangement to work in odd numbers, 1,3,5, etc. Now is the time that Home Goods, Marshalls, and T. J. Maxx are getting in their summer decorating things. If you are building a house, even if it is not finished, start looking for what you want now. There is only this time of year when you have the beach items in stores. There have been many times that I regretted “thinking” about an item and it was gone when I went back for it. I finally learned my lesson that I could always return it if I decided I wanted to.

Enjoy making your home just the way your family wants it!
