Lemonade Love

You can’t get more “summer classic” than an old fashioned Lemonade Stand. When Pierce, Riggs, and Fisher Osten spent the weekend visiting Grandma and PawPaw, they did just that! The brothers set up their stand by the frequently-traveled street between the beach and the Big Store. The Osten Boys’ Lemonade Stand was open for a few hours on Friday and Saturday, with a plan to donate half of their proceeds to Crenshaw School for school supplies. The heat was relentless, which made for thirsty passersby. Many generous folks paid a lot more than the price of a cup of lemonade. One local realtor handed the kids a hundred dollar bill for a single lemonade and said, “Keep the change as a donation.”

After all of their hard work, the money was counted and the school’s share was matched by the boys’ parents. Mrs. Camp, Crenshaw School Principal, was invited over on Saturday afternoon to accept the school’s share of the money raised, $300. The rest of their earnings was split evenly among the brothers. Job well done, boys!
