Our peninsula friend, C.L.Garey is starting a new ministry – a community Beach Church in 2013. Rev. C.L., a retired minister, has recently been diagnosed with a terminal illness. His greatest desire right now is, once again, to preach God’s word as he once did. His ministry vision is simple: to reach out to all our Peninsula friends needing a church home and providing a spirit filled community Beach Church. If you ask C.L. why now, he says ” God put this on my heart to visit the sick and to minister on our peninsula for as long as I can.”
C.L. & Shirley have been married for over 51 yrs. They lost their home in IKE and moved to Madisonville. C.L. was the interim Cowboy Church Pastor there and was instrumental in the “House of Hope” evolution. The Gareys came back “home” to Crystal Beach two years ago.
